Matthijs Koene will perform at the 100th Anniversary of the Donaueschingen festival, Germany

In 2021 the Donaueschinger Musiktage will be 100 years old. For this occasion, the festival has initiated a project to mark this next century of contemporary music. Donaueschingen Global is an extensive research project reflecting on contemporary and experimental music in non-European contexts. Since 2019, four experts in global art music have been travelling to different rural and urban regions in South America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to explore and discuss contemporary music outside of well-known networks and institutions.
